malcalor A tragic tale of heroism told through Progressive Metal. The lyricism and story themselves feel as timeless and ancient as the Hero's Journey. Tasty angular prog metal riffs give the album some real backbone.

Casey Lee Williams gives her best performance yet. In particular, the vocals of The Mountain, the climax of the story, approach tear-jerking territory. Favorite track: The Mountain.
Eleventh Earl of Blah

Eleventh Earl of Blah Breathtakingly diverse, pivoting on a dime from intensely heavy to delicate, beautiful acoustic sounds. My only gripe is that some of the songs end so abruptly, just as they've drawn you in so completely. I hope these guys tackle some long-form pieces on their next album, as they certainly have the chops to pull off an awesome prog metal epic. Favorite track: The Falcon.
Joerg Buchstaeber

Joerg Buchstaeber Well, I certainly didn't expect that.
Renaissance with sufficient power to melt Brooklyn Bridge.
Tour please, Europe, preferably Germany.
Will drive the extra mile. Favorite track: The Nightmare.

Armchair Gods Wonderful music – exciting and refreshingly NEW! Favourite track The Fox and the Bird.

makkel It's some Watership Down, Rats of Nimh, talking animals kinda deal. Idk, fuckin prog as hell though. 10/10 Absolute banger. Favorite track: The Falcon.

The Drought 02:57
Dear Sun Why do you desiccate this heart Bleed it dry No blessing sent down in disguise O Death Why is it here that you reside Ingest And drain all the color as you drink the rest Sun Why do you desiccate this land Leave it scorned No blessing sent by heaven's lords O Death Why is it here that you adorn Digest Drain all the water, no fruit to be left

A walk home Vermillion path His feet turned gray From dust they have amassed A stiff coat With tired, amber hues A bit of help A friend with nothing left to lose Shall we Stay inside our shells As the reaper takes his prey The world will only darken without candlelight With you, I think I'll try To get to the other side A dauntless Whistle in the air His wings grew thin His spirit didn't care A warm talk With words unspoken A scorching sun An infatuated wind Shall we Stay inside our shells As the reaper takes his prey The world will only darken without candlelight With you, I think I'll try To get to the other side Shall we Stay inside our shells As the reaper takes his prey Oh, the world will only darken without candlelight With you, I think I'll try

Blissful glow Under a willow tree Kindness flows From a golden reverie It speaks in tongues Of fore-bearers long forgotten Humble lungs That tell us to prepare for what's to come Hands have built Stories lain in the roots around him Tales that quilt A thread preserved in mystery A welcome ear Face creased like the rotten oakwood Do not fear He says as though he senses we're afraid Our home will die, unless we find a way He then begins to speak his mind A legend lost from weary times A secret song unearthed before our eyes I heard a story long ago Of spirits found in heaven's snow Atop a mountain far above the skies These spirits, pure as light could bring An endless flow of water, spring Back to places cursed with death and waste In order to restore this life It would not come without a price A set of totems the spirits do require The skin of a limbless ghoul The feather of a winged fool A trickster fit with pride that's bound to fall The tooth of a putrid brute The sharpest minds he can pollute And last, a creature foul as death himself The claw of a murderous beast Starving for a holy feast A bitterness untamed by nature's hands But who would journey so far Face the dangers and take on such perilous scars The fox and bird looked to each other's eyes Without a question, knew they had to risk it all and try Forward they went, as faces met with shock Knowing the restless spirits that'd hunt among the path they'd walk Though their lives may be lost along the way It'd be worth it all to save the home they knew deserved to stay

The Snake 03:42
See me Shriveling in pieces Hear this Cacophony of quiet screams And when the night is over They don't go they don't go they don't go away Death becomes me He's inviting No escaping Your love will never quench the endless thirst of your rage Few can save the soulless Save the soulless Useless fools Your fate is simple Black, infested Sickening Dry bones See me You can take my skin, but I promise you this day Your love will never satisfy your rage Sink into the sink into the sink into the sink into the Sink into the sink into the sink into the sink into the Let the earth consume me Sink into the suffering Carcasses infected with Ripened dunes of emptiness Endless soulless nothingness Sink down you'll never escape from your rage Rage

The Falcon 06:12
Drifting hills catch the eye in passing As we greet the day Beaten wings graced with ease we'll follow Master of the wind Will they be as unkind as he Just keep moving Savor this moment cuz there's more to follow Know for sure that time is delicate Braver, you'll never know what's waiting Don't you fear no more Today we own the sky Ask politely, you may receive but My heart lives for play Catch the feather in flight, if you dare Then take of it, you may Careful now, into caves unsound Stay with me Savor this moment cuz there's more to follow Know for sure that time is delicate Braver, you'll never know what's waiting Don't you fear no more Today we own the sky Savor this moment cuz there's more to follow Know for sure that time is delicate Braver, you'll never know what's waiting Don't you fear no more Today we own the sky

Breath escape me Feel my heartbeat Surrender is the temptress that we must meet Waiting in the mire for a swift retreat Brace my wings before the rift Don't fail me now before I give in to the rift Spirits please The rain will you return to us From the holy mountain Stay with me Together through the light Together we survive By light you run And stumble through the dark Prey, falsify Together we survive Overwhelm my senses Hunger roars in my stead Dress my palms black with filth Still my claws are stained red Play savior Starving the brute, an outcast As I suffer This hero's facade won't last Your kind could never understand Selfish need The world has written rules for us That cannot be broken Rivals bleed Together in the fight But I alone survive Blessed bones may pass the rift Salvation stands in cursed bones across the rift Spirits please The rain will you return to us From the holy mountain Stay with me Rivals bleed Together in the fight Together we survive But I alone survive We survive

Hello Welcome It's been years since I've seen such Savory faces around here I'm not the most graceful of hosts But please make yourselves at home I've been, shall we say, starving for company What surprise A sweet delight Lounging in depths of warm molasses, I Know you seek a prize Might you get a little bit closer to me I promise, these scars are deceiving I can help you, you see Play my game Stare at the face of death, oh you miserable swine Or leave in shame Wait Come back I cherish every little angelic creature in the Wait A snack My mouth is dripping from a voracious appetite Hold on We'll play your game We've come so far We cannot give in Let's play my game Peel back your bloody eyelids and witness A god's display My tooth Get back here you mewling pieces of fodder What a pathetic waste of meat You'll be sorry you couldn't have had a quicker death, you filthy cowards

The Bird 03:07
Softly I hover on you Thought we'd reached the sun But we tried to preserve What we knew of love, I Collect the colors of your heart And take them to the end What you dream of In desperation I hear you gently sing Spirits please The rain will you return to us from the holy mountain Someone please I cannot bear this weight Don't take him away Up in the clouds Oblivion sounds Whatever way you go It's not right if it's not with me From the earth we're grounded to All the way up to the blue I know I'll see your face again In truth you'll never leave Collect the colors of your heart And take them to the end I can hear the rain You whisper quiet as you fade away into my arms

The Mountain 05:30
The crows were watchin' Takin' in the scene Blackened holes for eyes that tear the spirit to the spleen Oh he knew that all was lost as his limbs began to cave He reached a speed so quick just as his will, it all but gave Run, run, run now, as fast as you can The snow, it isn't kind to those who lay hope in this land Find My Sight Find my sight Closely follow a crooked path Interweaving until I collapse Trust my heart with a blinded lens In a twisted reflection of how it ends Your blood, fresh drawn intoxication Like wine from a fount for my desire You have never known this Barren land of bitter frost your Brittle throat at any cost is My reward after Years deprived on the Highest cliff face Spineless morsels lose the fight Fight Flight Fight Fight or flight You hear me Nowhere left for you to hide You coward I can smell your fear The ground below me is erupting like the home I left behind There is no spirit who could give me back the home that once was mine I tried to reach the sun But all I touched were your burning bones What I wouldn't give to just Survive Never has a place been so close and yet so far If you were here, maybe all would be still just for a moment You'd remind me of the gentle breeze in the trees that brought us here You would tell me to pick up my feet and Run

The Rain 03:17
Now it hurts, to earth I'm bound A pain that's drowning all the forest sound Strength lies within, it lifts me up I made it here, my friend I hear it now A rain as soft as you But is it you that I hear calling out
